The Heavenly Books of Record
Here's what the Bible says about them:
- Luke 10:20 The names of God's people are written in heaven.
- Philippians 4:3 Their names are written in the book of life.
- Malachi 3:16 Those especially close to God are noted in a book of remembrance.
- Psalm 139:16 God's book contains a complete description of each of us.
- Jeremiah 2:22 Our iniquity (sin) is marked before God.
- Daniel 7:10 In the judgment, the books are opened.
- Revelation 20:12 People are judged according to the things written in the books.
- Ezekiel 18:24 If a righteous man turns away from righteousness and commits iniquity, in the judgment none of his previously recorded righteousness will be counted.
- Exodus 32:33 The names of all who have turned back to sin will be blotted out of God's book.
- Psalm 69:28 They will be blotted from the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
